Alain Morcel and Frederic Loeven created LM in 1991 and started their business in a 1200 sq. ft. shop on Masson Street in Montreal. Quickly recognized for their ability to produce high-end custom furniture, they quickly carved out a reputation for very high quality craftmanship in the field of cabinetmaking in Montreal.
In 1996, Frederic Loeven left for western Canada and Alain Morcel became the sole owner of the company. In 1997, a first move and extension to Fullum street was necessary.
In 2001, the implementation of digital control and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing), will allow an increase in the volume of work and increased precision with better control of operations. Therefore, sustained growth confirms Loeven Morcel's position in the field which now serves local customers, but also expands to the rest of Canada and United States.
In 2011, another move was made to rue Dandurand in a 17,000 sq. ft. worksop better suited
for the factory and offices. At the end of 2015, Éric Daigle, factory director and employee since 2000, becomes a partner in the company.
2020 will mark a turning point as LM launches its furniture collection; OH mobilier.
